I have been looking to get my hands on this book for so long, that when I finally had the chance to read it, I was so excited.
In a lot of ways, this book delivered exactly what I was looking for. Having read some books from this series (thinking that Megan's Mark was the first book...only to discover that it's not), I finally got to see how it all started.
Just like any Lora Leigh's book, this one is hot, hot, hot. It's highly erotic and edgy. Using the 'mating heat' idea, she gets to pen a lot o ...more

To save her life, Callan finally agrees to go public at the genetic Senate hearings. For once the Council knows about Merinus, they will stop at nothing to get their grubby hands on her to experiment on and find out how to breed more breeds.

I loved this book - it has a distinctly different feel to most pnr books out there. The fact that the characters can't shift, but retain characteristics of the breed they were crossed with made it an interesting concept for a series. Really hope that we will read more about the Tyler 7 - perhaps their own series or books in this one? Hate the cover though - deserved better.
