Seemed a little rushed and it felt like huge parts of the story were missing. Might have been a five star read otherwise.
Considering the lousy content, I can't believe I got through this one, but Rice is a decent writer. A young woman who's finally healthy after fighting cancer for years and years goes to a pretty wild night club for some fun. She brings an undercover cop home with her and the first half of the book describes the weekend they spend together, which mainly consists of sex. Well this was one hot book. It kind of ran in succession with the first book in the series. Normal LMR alpha hero which of course is always a good thing. Heroine did have a TSTL moment at the end where she wouldn't go with Bud to the safe house. I understand that she didn't like being locked up but breaking up with him was a little much.
