Dark Glitter is a brilliant collaboration between Tate James and CM Stunich. It's a modern-day spin on the European mythology of the Wild Hunt with fae history and it's inspired. Every bit of this book is well thought out. The Louisiana bayou has a sultry, wild decadence that exists nowhere else. It's captured perfectly and serves as an ideal setting. The story is compelling. The characters are incomparable. Ciarah is a blend of innocence with her amnesia and youth and the power and innate knowledge of the goddess. Her duality makes the character fascinating. More than a woman, more than a goddess. Her pain was palpable at times making it hard for me to breath. Then she would find her strength as a woman, demand that the men respect her, and take what she wanted. I love that she refuses to settle. She's ready for battle and making her own rules. The Lords are almost as complex. Reece, the sex god with his innate understanding and love for females; Arlo, the horned god with his harsh pride; and Killian with his complicated past relationship with the werewolf alpha (can't wait to explore that). These are hard men with their own magic. The werewolves, Raphael and Amelie, are both important and I look forward to having them even more involved. The cast of side characters from the Swamp Witch and Papa Cocodril to the Seer and Sage add such flavor. This crazy assortment of characters comes together like a spicy bowl of gumbo and offers its own brand of pleasure.

The book has plenty of world-building, storytelling, and action. The stage is set. Then the ending... It's a cliffhanger but placed so that one question is answered before the next one is asked. Hard to say where it goes from here or what happens next. You can be certain that it will be quite the ride!

I love CM Stunich.
I love Tate James.

I'm a dedicated reader to both of their works. The books that they publish are some of my top favorites.
Was this my favorite book? No.

This had a whole different feel to this book. But I loved it. I love this new side to them. This story held me and I couldn't put this book down. This was an amazing new, dark story.

What I didn't like, it was at times difficult to keep up with, a bit of a mess. Reese (i think that's how you spell it) was at times very difficul ...more

I really like CM Stunich's writing style and she knows how to weave a story to draw you in. The only issue I had with book one of this story is that it was too short and ended in a cliff. Why end a story in a cliff? You can have an overall arc but wrap up the mini arcs so the reader can be satisfied...

Will I read book 2..YES! I recommend perhaps waiting to read book one until book 2 comes out. That is if book 2 doesn't end in a cliff. ...more

This new series is a combination of two of my favorite sub-genres, faeries and motorcycle clubs. Throw in some shifters and bayou voodoo witches and we have a party! I wouldn't expect anything less from NOLA and these two authors. Reese is my favorite character so far, something about his confidence just speaks to me. ...more
