I love CM Stunich.
I love Tate James.
I'm a dedicated reader to both of their works. The books that they publish are some of my top favorites.
Was this my favorite book? No.
This had a whole different feel to this book. But I loved it. I love this new side to them. This story held me and I couldn't put this book down. This was an amazing new, dark story.
What I didn't like, it was at times difficult to keep up with, a bit of a mess. Reese (i think that's how you spell it) was at times very difficul ...more

Enjoyed It
I really enjoyed this book. I typically enjoy books by this author - not all, but most of them. This one was no exception. The characters were likeable and had a good connection. There were still a lot of unanswered questions by the end of this book, but there was an understanding that the answers would come slowly in the rest of the series. It flowed very well. I was not disappointed in my purchase.

So I am current on Tate James' other series, Kit Davenport, which also falls under the New Adult Reverse Harem PNR umbrella. If you've read both, this feels exactly the same except for the location and this one has to do with Fae and Wild Hunt.
On top of that, I found this actually very hard to read. So it uses a lot of Fae/Sidhe terminology using Gaelic AND this takes place in the bayou so most of the characters are some part French and Cajun. When you get to these POVs it's actually wri ...more

Outstanding!!
What a phenomenal book! Definitely one of the most unique RH books I've read. Seriously, the duo of C.M. and Tate is magical! The storylines and characters these to ladies come up with are amazing! And this series is no exception.
Ciarah and the Wild Hunt MC club's story is crazy enough as is, but then you add in that they're all Fae and they're becoming more involved with the Louisiana werewolves and dealing with a bunch of other magical creatures, and it takes it right over the top ...more

I really like CM Stunich's writing style and she knows how to weave a story to draw you in. The only issue I had with book one of this story is that it was too short and ended in a cliff. Why end a story in a cliff? You can have an overall arc but wrap up the mini arcs so the reader can be satisfied...
Will I read book 2..YES! I recommend perhaps waiting to read book one until book 2 comes out. That is if book 2 doesn't end in a cliff. ...more

DARK! The first word of the title is exactly what this book is. If you are looking for sweet and romantic do Not read this book. This story is dark, dirty and twisted, filled with sex and violence, and I loved it. The end had me wanting the next one. If they had ended it a few pages earlier my kindle would have hit the wall. Looking forward to seeing where these ladies take the story.

Worth the wait!
Combine C.M. Stunich and Tate James and you get a powerful book that will lead you through emotions you didn't realize you could feel through reading.

This new series is a combination of two of my favorite sub-genres, faeries and motorcycle clubs. Throw in some shifters and bayou voodoo witches and we have a party! I wouldn't expect anything less from NOLA and these two authors. Reese is my favorite character so far, something about his confidence just speaks to me.
