Wonder why it originally said I started this a month in the future? Not a big deal but very strange. I had already watched the special on this so knew the story well. But it did cover a number of things differently. I didn’t remember the reason for the new trial. That Duane guy certainly threw a wrench in everyone’s plans with his made up testimonies. For those that have watched “the staircase” movie, let me say I found this “less confusing”. It was more straightforward. Very clear and not a ton of jumping around in time. The author describes the main character is such a way that the reader really gets a sense of his personality.
