I got this book around 5 o'clock the day it came out and just finished it an hour ago. I couldn't put this book down. I was seriously wondering if it was going to be like The Mortal Instruments story but I was taking back when I flipped and flipped and flipped the pages to see the truly unique story played out. This book did blow me away. I wondered how Cassandra had come up with some of the things she wrote about. I love Tessa as the main character and following the story in her steps. But Jem

This was the start of another fantastic series by Cassandra Clare. It's the prequel to The Mortal Instruments series, which I really loved. The best part about this book was that no matter where I was, I could pick up this book and instantly get lost in it. It was nearly impossible to put down, and I felt so attatched to the characters as I was reading it. There was not a moment I felt was slow or boring. It just kept going. I love Clare's fantasy world of Shadow Hunters and Downworlders (you'll ...more

““Well, she's not responding to my advances," he observed more brightly than he felt, "so she must be dead." ”

The Infernal Devices is a series I both love and hate at the same time. Sometimes I can find these books disappointing, there is very little character variation between this series and The Mortal Instruments, the action only comes in small spurts and I'm not the biggest fan of love triangles. Other times however I cannot get enough of them.

I always love the beginning and the end of Ang

I really enjoyed reading the book, and it only took me 3 days :)

The characters remind me of Clary (Tessa) and Jace (Will)... Their relationship in the beginning wasn't stable, and obviously Tessa and Will have a rough road ahead of them... I cannot wait for the second book to come out, nor can I wait for the fourth TMI book...

This might seem like a silly question, and it's not directed at anyone in particular, but Magnus Bane the warlock is in both... so does that mean warlocks are immortal??..
