This is one of those books that people seem to either love or hate, personally I loved it. It was an idea that has been written about before but I believe Cassandra Clare adds her own unique twists. I love her character Jace, (I think everyone who loves this series loves Jace) He is awesome. he is a bad boy who seems to always be in trouble, he needs no help finding it. This book is the first book in Cassandra Clare's Mortal instruments series. In this book, a girl named Clary has a normal life, but one day when she goes to a club with her best friend Simon, she wittness' something unimagineable. Soon Clary gets sucked into the world of Shadowhunters, Demons, Vampires, werewolves and so much more. City of Bones while witty and interesting, did not live up to my expectations. I saw through a major plot point halfway through the book which didn't leave the ending as compelling as other book endings were. The antagonist was completely evil, and while some series have all-evil villains, I was expecting more from Cassandra Clare in terms of shades of grey since she's so skilled at that. Hopefully we'll see more of that skill in the second book.

I have never read a book like this... It was absolutely amazing, could not stop reading it.
Fell in love with all the characters, who couldn't fall in love with Jace, he is just the definition of perfect!!!
