Wonderful police thriller. Two children disappear in the woods at Knocknaree. A third terrorized child is found with no memory of what happened. Twenty years later that child is a detective called to the scene where a child's body is found at an archeological dig in the same place.

I'm really up in the air about what to say about this book. The narrator kind of got on my nerves, but in the end I somehow wanted him to find happiness with Cassie. On another note, I figured out the twist pretty early on, so that was a letdown. Then, there were unresolved story points, which just really annoys me! Argh, I just can't figure out how I feel about it, other than frustrated that is.

This book was so dreadfully boring! I read it for an online book club. I decided to read it because the premise sounds interesting, but the story was so slow and un-thrillerish at all! I expected a lot more from this than what I got.
Very nicely written, complicated mystery with real characters and plotting.
