What Members Thought

Excellent. As an atheist it is hard to find literature I would give to a child to inspire skepticism. This book is compelling, fast read and best of all it teaches kids that questioning is not only their right, it's their job as Americans. Lyra is a marvelous protagonist who transitions from angry child to girl with a mission over the first book. Don't base your assumption on the movie.
