What Members Thought

A team of four women are on an expedition to Area X, a coastal region that has been cut off from normal civilization. The team members are only known by their professions--the psychologist, the anthropologist, the surveyor, and the biologist who is also the narrator of the story.

This book is just so weird. I don't know if I got it ... but I didn't hate it ... did I like it? I'm still not sure, so I'm going to continue with the series and read book 2.

I didn’t understand this for over half of the book. The end was good, I think. I liked the idea once I understood what was going on, and I like the sound of books 2 and 3.
I just felt like because there was absolutely NO introduction, no background, nothing I spent far too much time trying to work out what was going on. There isn’t enough explanation in my opinion and this would be better as a longer, more fleshed out novel.
Hmm. Can’t decide whether to read the other two or not now.
