I am giving it five stars because, even though it drags on a little bit in the second half of the book, the writing made it simply amazing. The "journal style" really adds to the atmosphere. Moreover, the fact that Bram Stoker successfully made me sympathise with a mental patient who indulges a habit of consuming living creatures was unexpected. ...more
