I have finally gone and moved into the twenty first century and read an e-book, for the first time in my life I have read a book solely in digital form and have to say that it really wasn't that that bad an experience. However I still prefer reading a good proper book made of paper.

What better mystery to read for the Classic Bingo Challenge “Read a Classic Mystery/Thriller” square than Agatha Christie’s first published novel, first mystery and first story featuring the incomparable Detective Hercule Poirot, his sidekick Captain Hastings, and Chief Inspector Japp of Scotland Yard! I decided one day that I should start listening to audiobooks while driving, at the gym, doing household chores, etc. I had always wanted to read Agatha Christie, so I started there pretty much on a whim.
This novel is the first in the Poirot series. It introduces the Poirot and some other often recurring characters.
