What Members Thought
Anne Rice writes gorgeous prose--the only problem is that it's often purple prose. Louis and his tales are ethereal and depict the romantic version of a vampire that is well-expected now. Unfortunately, many of my friends (and myself, I guess) overhyped the book. I loved the characters despite their quirks (hint: Louis and his constant whining), but I won't lie about Anne Rice's ability to really set a scene.
