Everything i detest about the fantasy genre is here. Glacial plotting, boring characterisation, meandering, dreary, tedious plot, cliche ideas (a magic school where people must be taught how to manage their skills against a feudal authority blah blah fucking blah The Witcher Earthsea Harry Potter Wheel of Time blah blah blah), bloated story stretched out over multiple volumes because fantasy writers can't write for shit, excruciating usage of made up words that sound like someone with a bad case ...more
