Some books are good. Some books are beautifully written. This book is both and many things more!
Through a series of interrelated stories/characters the author sketches the life of modern native americans. Some of the problems are very recognizable as beeing a pain in modern society in general, other problems are rather specific.

Trigger warnings for alcoholism, domestic violence, rape, and violence in general.
This is my second read for The BookTube Prize and it did not go as well as the first.
The good:
- There There is an own voices story about urban Native Americans and the issues they face, from the trigger warnings above to loss of culture and traditions. It's an important story that I'm so happy to see being told, and to such acclaim.

All the reviews are correct ; this is a very good book. Exciting and insightful. Listening to the audio though, I found it difficult to keep track of all the characters and timelines, so that reduced my enjoyment a little.
