There There by Tommy Orange, tells the perplexity of Native Americans who dwell in the cities. The book follows several people as they get ready to meet at the Oakland Powwow. Each has their own story of being a native to a country and at the same time being treated as an illegal alien. It was so refreshing to read an author who knows the plights bought upon his family, friends, and relatives and his willingness to share their struggle and heartbreak with the rest of us.
