Author Susannah Cahalan was a journalist for the "New York Post" when she became ill with a mysterious disease. She started having sensory issues, numbness on her left side, and hallucinations. After she had seizures, she was misdiagnosed with various psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and alcohol withdrawal (even though she was not a heavy drinker).

Not exactly what I thought it would be-- you need to really enjoy medical books/medical jargon. If it had been written in a more PERSONAL style, it could have been a great read, I think....I was HOPING for personal insight, instead I got medical facts. Bummer.
