A brilliant collection of diverse short stories across a range of genres - 4.5 stars. A very clever combination of stories including space operas, historical fiction about Chinese immigrants to the US, near future crime, magical realism, and alternate histories. I particularly liked the integration of Chinese and Japanese culture into some of the stories.
