This is my latest edition to my "Books literally everyone alive has read except me and which I've been putting off for 2+ decades" list. Even though I knew how it was going to turn out (thanks for that, introduction!), and the fact that it took far too many days to read than 100 pages warranted, I found myself surprised at my emotional investment at the end.

What I liked the most is the scenes where the boy is taking part of the story.
