I wanted to like this more than I did. I loved The Attachments and thought this would have the same effect. The first half of the book really dragged. The second half was actually pretty good. It had some good laugh out loud moments, some great memory bits and one scene (that actually had nothing to do with the story that I could see) was one of my all time favorites. The book was just too little too late and I hate to say it but I had a hard time liking Georgie McCool. The 2 stars is more like ...more

I really liked Rowell's other books but this one had me wanting to smack the main characters.
