This book had promise. In the beginning, Cassie was a great character. She was a survivor. Strong, brutal, head screwed on straight. Definitely a teen that had weathered 4 waves of alien attacks. Hardened. I loved her. Yes, she had her teen moments (her fantasizing about her crush when the world was normal, but I thought that was a nice remembrance of her age – she was a young teen girl, after all)

I keep going back and forth if I want to give this a 4.5 (4 stars) or a 4.5 (5 stars).

Like I don't think I have ever been so confused sometimes? Like....wait....how many people have we met so far? HOW MANY POVs???? But then they started to combine and I was confused where they combined and where they didn't and who all was still dangling.

I went with 5 because it kept surprising me, there were characters I was interested in, and it actually made me laugh in the middle of reading about an extreme ...more
