Shelves: ya, sci-fi, dystopia

This book had promise. In the beginning, Cassie was a great character. She was a survivor. Strong, brutal, head screwed on straight. Definitely a teen that had weathered 4 waves of alien attacks. Hardened. I loved her. Yes, she had her teen moments (her fantasizing about her crush when the world was normal, but I thought that was a nice remembrance of her age – she was a young teen girl, after all)

While the love story is a bit silly and some ideas have been done before, this was an action - packed ride teens will enjoy. I can't wait to pry book two out of my son's hands. ...more
