The honeymoon is long over but this is definitely not the way you expect to celebrate your 5th wedding anniversary! And so it begins with a missing wife – police on your doorstep – and the fear of being accused of the crime, especially when you haven’t been completely honest. I can't remember ever reading such an unsettling, graphic, and occasionally downright offensive book. And yet I couldn't stop reading! The writing is impressively crafty and twisty such that I enjoyed being manipulated even as I wanted to shake Nick and Amy for being such messed-up human beings! I'd been seeing this book everywhere and had it recommended to me but just recently picked it up. I could not put this book down. And you can't even discuss this book with anyone who hasn't read it yet or is in the process of reading it because of all the twists and turns. The book was really well-written and like I said, I couldn't put it down. An absolute must-read. ...more
