Neal Shusterman's books have been in my TBR pile for a long time. When this book came up for a reading challenge/monthly read, I couldn't pass it up. Really good! The world-building wasnt complete, but what we saw was interesting, and really drew me in. The characters were great, and even the ones we didnt see fleshed out much were intriguing. The story gave me lots to think about, and didn't do it in a preachy way. The unwind process near the end wasn't gory at all, but so gut-wrenching, if it were gorier it may have made it easier to just brush off its message - this hit the balance just right.
