It should be noted that this was on my kindle for so long that the cover changed. The first cover was creepy because it had the bloody silhouette of a pregnant woman. This cover is creepy because it has a quote from Stephen King about how good it is.

Breed is a horror tale revolving around two parents desperate for children, and later shifts forward in time to when their twins are ten years of age. I feel like the horror aspect of this book was more evident in the first half, and that it kind of tapered off in the second half into a more fast-paced, action ordeal that drained away all the spooky atmosphere that the first part of the book spent building up.
