I have had this book for a while. I put off reading it because I just wasn't sure. You know, the whole male author- male POV thing. It wasn't until friends of mine read this and reviewed it here on goodreads that I remembered I even owned it. But listen. This book was GOOD.

I felt like the last person on the planet who had not read Ready Player One last year when I received it from Book of the Month. It is really not the kind of book I generally read, young adult and techy sci-fi, but I thought with so much hype and all the 80’s talk surrounding it I would give it a try. I am really glad I did because I really had a good time with it! I picked up this book because my brother told me it was "candy good"
As a person who doesn't like technology I found it hard to relate with the charaters which is what makes a book good to me. Although I was born in 1982 pop culture has always alluded me. Missing the references to the 80s and not being "into" video games. I found this book as not something I enjoyed much.
