What Members Thought

I loved this book for the first 100 or so pages, then I got a little bit bored with the monotony of the hunt for the Easter egg and the game within the game. I felt like I needed to fast forward VH1's Decade of the 80's to get to the resolution. I really wanted to really fall in love with this book, but I just couldn't, even though I am a Child of the 80's and still have my collection of Dungeons & Dragons rulebooks on one of the many bookshelves. Ultimately, I was annoyed at the length of the b

I thought of my brother the entire time I read this and am buying him a copy for his birthday. It's a fun, nostalgic (almost too much), and exciting homage to video games, pop culture, nerds, and the halcyon days of the 80s and early 90s. I suspect it's a book best enjoyed by those of us who remember Pong, Legend of Zelda, and John Hughes movies the first time around. Everyone else will enjoy the movie, which Steven Spielberg promises will be great.

Wow is all I can say. This definitely would not have been a book I would of picked up on my own. The only reason I read it is because so many booktubers kept talking about how great it was.
Well all I can say is glad that I read it. What a fun ride this story was. If you are into any type of gaming be it video games or old D&D then this will definitely peak your interest. Set in the future of about 2045 it also has that "minority report" feeling to it.
