I just loved the relationship development between Raphael and Ellie. Raphael is one of my most favourite heroes to read about. It was like being with her was a whole new experience with him and it was nice to take that roller coaster of emotions with him.
I'm really glad we got to dip deeper into the past that Ellie had hidden from everyone including herself. It makes her so much stronger to have overcome that in her life. And for her to share that with Raphael was wonderful!

Well, I'm enjoying the series so far. Elena awakes from a year long coma to discover she is no longer human. She is now an immortal, but as she's discovered the previous year even those considered immortal aren't. Trying to figure out the new relationship between herself and Raphael she asks, "What do I call you? Hisband? Mate? Boyfriend?"
His response, "You can call me 'Master'."
Well, I guess we'll see how long that will last. Meanwhile, other angels are not so pleased about Elena's transformati ...more

Gut

Elena Devereaux has spent the last year in a coma, her body healing after the fight that nearly took her life and transformed her into an angel. She awakens changed, but weakened and with much to learn. Elena is forced to learn quickly though as an invitation arrives to a ball at the ancient and deadly archangel Lijuan's home. But even as Elena and Raphael prepare, someone is determined to remove Raphael from power and strikes at the heart of the angelic sanctuary they are calling home.

This book (and series) is an interesting glimpse into a strange world where Angels are nearly immortal and are the makers of vampires. Elena, a Guild Hunter (hunter of vampires that have broken their "contracts" with the Angels that made them), (view spoiler)

A guild hunter novel. wow. what an awesome story. from the first page is was hooked. she creates such an imaginative universe with the guild hunters, archangels. angels, and vampires. i kinda read this story out of order. now i have to read angel's blood. how elena has to get used to her wings and everything she has to go through. she had to deal with alot from her past also. i love her character. elena and rapheal so belong together. i think they were made for each other. there are alot of diff
