Rarely do I purchase Nook books 'full-price', but I made an exception for DIVERGENT due to strong recommendations from trusted reader friends that I would love it. I read the premise and listening to my friends, I placed it on my Nook. I started it immediately since we were on a roadtrip to Minnesota. I was glad of this roadtrip as it allowed me to finish this superb book in one sitting.

This story grabs you on page ONE! Divergent introduces readers to a world where society is divided into factions. The world building leaves a vivid image, the plot keeps readers on their toes it keeps you guessing but reveals enough though the story that you don't get frustrated with the plot. So...this book is a lot like eating potato chips...you know they're bad, but you just keep on eating because they taste good. It was a fun read, but the premise is utterly ridiculous. I had a hard time suspending disbelief anytime the factions or the history of this world are described, but after some eye rolling, I'd keep reading.
