I've had this book on hand for a while and I kept putting it off no matter how many people kept saying you should read this instantly. And? You *should* read this instantly. I read it in less than twenty-four hours.
This is so completely different and stand-alone and of itself. It's my second book that's gorgeously original this year. I love the main character. I love the slow reveal of the world. I love the hints of the future. And can not wait for the next one. ...more

Rarely do I purchase Nook books 'full-price', but I made an exception for DIVERGENT due to strong recommendations from trusted reader friends that I would love it. I read the premise and listening to my friends, I placed it on my Nook. I started it immediately since we were on a roadtrip to Minnesota. I was glad of this roadtrip as it allowed me to finish this superb book in one sitting.

This story grabs you on page ONE! Divergent introduces readers to a world where society is divided into factions.
