It is always a bit nerve-wracking when one of your favorite authors comes out with a new book because expectations are so high and you don't want to be disappointed. I am happy to report that this book absolutely measures up to the very high bar that I have for Backman. He remains, in my opinion, the finest writer of human nature living today. Shelves: modern-and-noteworthy, feel-good

I listened to this on audio, and boy do I feel like my heart is going to explode. I just want to be friends with these people to take the teenage versions of these children and wrap them in a great big hug. This is a story about broken humans who through friendship and art get a little less broken. It is simply beautiful.
