I truly thought this was going to be exactly like other werewolf books where the girl always tries to escape what she is, gets in lots of trouble, then has lots of sex with members of her pride. Well it is exactly that except the main character, Faythe, only has sex with her ex-boyfriend (from her pride). After you get over all her whining and childish ways, the story actually gets good. This was a little disappointing. My main problem with the book was that I didn't care for the main character. She was inconsistent and made bad choices - two flaws I have a hard time forgiving. Despite being flung into terrifying encounters throughout the book, she was never scared or uncertain, and instead seemed to make things worse for herself and those around her.
