The plot is fast paced, it kept me on the edge of their seats as I followed Violet’s journey through a world of dark danger and high stakes.

One of the standout elements of “Fourth Wing” is the sexual tension between Violet and Xaden. Their steamy romance adds an extra layer of excitement and drama to the story. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, making their interactions some of the most engaging parts of the book.

Yarros does a commendable job with world-building, creating a vivid and immersive setting. However, the world-building isn’t fully fleshed out at the beginning and may require more development as the series progresses. Despite this, the setting is rich with potential, and I am looking forward to exploring more of this intriguing world in future instalments.

The book’s unexpected cliffhanger ending is sure to leave readers eagerly expecting the next instalment. The blend of angst and drama throughout the story keeps the emotional stakes high, making for a compelling read.

“Fourth Wing” is an easy read, perfect for those looking for a quick escape into a fantastical world.

While the dialogue may not be the strongest and there are some plot holes, the overall entertainment value of the book is undeniable. The story’s momentum and the engaging romance more than make up for these shortcomings.

One area where the book could improve is in the depth of its side characters. While Violet and Xaden are well-developed, the supporting cast could benefit from more attention and complexity. This would add even more richness to the story and enhance the overall reading experience.
