What Members Thought
This book was beautifully written. I loved the aspect of the fantasy in it with Harriet Tubman and the "water dancing".
This basically tells a historical fiction story about the Underground railroad and slavery. Hiram Walker is the main protagonist in the story. Watching him grow up and seemingly to beat a lot of odds and become a better man was joy to read. He learned a lot about himself and about others during his life of being caught and then freed (so to speak).
