An interesting mock biopic of Hollywood stardom with a unique twist on the friendship of Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson. A beautiful tribute to the impossible struggle of being LGBTQ+ in a hetero normative world.

Epic in width and depth

A story told over many tumultuous decades in Hollywood and elsewhere. Amazing tie ins from fiction to reality as the narrative is woven into the fabric of the reality of the 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond. A heartbreaking look at the struggle of being tru to yourself and the sacrifices that sometimes forces.

This book came highly recommended, but it was too soap opera and unrealistic for me, especially the main character. She came across very stereotypical of old school Hollywood cliches & the dialogue had me rolling my eyes.
