Taylor Jenkins Reid's writing is absolutely remarkable. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is something, something. Yes, the hype made me delay reading this book, but the truth is I liked it very much. I read the e-book through the Scribd app and listened through Audible.
The way the book was organized to take us on this journey was clever. Monique alternately narrates it. The reporter was appointed to write the biography of Evelyn (Herrera) Hugo and Evelyn herself. Going back and forth between p ...more

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was an interesting story, but went on too long. At one point I was just tired of her and you know who. The time gaps were monotonous and made the book longer than necessary. Evelyn's reason for choosing Monique to be her interviewer did shock me. I kept trying to guess the reason and am glad it wasn't obvious. The character of Evelyn was very enjoyable. I love that she lived life on her terms until the very end and truly loved her family. ...more

It’s very good. I like that there’s a character who finally admits girls and women know what they’re doing when they’re doing something. Women are calculating and I’m glad she finally said it.
