This was one of my favorite reads of last year. This was an engrossing and inventive read.
What would happen if nothing you ever did made a mark? If no one ever remembered you? Would it not drive you mad? This is why you should never make deals with the devil or the fairies or witches, et al. They will find a way to screw you over.
Great book. Highly recommend it.

Be careful if you make a deal with the Devil, he might literally give you what you ask for! The first time I checked this book out in April it just did not appeal to me, but it had so many rave reviews that I put it on hold again. Once I made it two the second section I was hooked, I’ve read most of this book in a weekend. Is life worth living to see one more sunrise, one more magical wonder if you are utterly alone! Although it's a bit slow to start, it's well worth pushing through until the story picks up. I'm at a loss in regards to the ending - it's not what I had hoped for, but it's not awful either.

I tried. I got thru 8 hours of the audio and was bored to tears. I couldn't listen to another 9 hours. So I'm calling it a DNF.
