Though this book was really good I did not enjoy it nearly as much as I did the first 2 books.

I fell into the mood for this world this weekend and end up doing my first ever rewatch of the movies, which went not too badly, but then was followed up by at least a first book reread and I remember why I didn't like the movie(s) (until #3, years and years later), because the books have so much more detail in their world building, school systems, division, quiet rebellions.

While this third and final installment was much better than the first two (and the first two weren't horrible by any means, they just lacked a certain 'something' for me), I'm still not sure what all the hype over these books is about. Yes, they've been great stories and yeah, they really do draw you in but... ? I don't know. They are enjoyable and definitely worth the read.

This is another book I'm not sure how to rate. I've given it three stars, as an average mark, but it'd be probably closer to 2.5, if I wanted to be really judgmental (which I'm not going to be, because I still went on reading it quickly, a usual sign that all in all, the story hooked me).
I really, really liked its setting, the backdrop of war depicted in it, with all its ambiguities and varying moral mileage. Maybe those are themes a harsh for a YA novel, but they still gave me the full feeling ...more
