Very creepy and mysterious.
Had me looking over my shoulders. I work the late shift and omg had me creeping out as I read this at work.
Enjoyed the mystery. I had my predictions some were right. But I couldn't put this down until i knew for sure what happened to Viv back in 1982 as Carly, Viv niece goes on hee own investigation to find out what happened to her aunt. She even goes as far as taking the same nightshift job as her aunt did at the a creepy motel.

Last night, I decided to read this downstairs with only my dog as a company. Halfway though, I got freaked out and had to go upstairs searching for hubby's company. I finished reading in bed, in the dark, but thankful (for the first time ever) for hubby's softly snoring beside me. There's just something about this particular 'horror' ((view spoiler) ) that actually scare me. And yet, I couldn't stop reading.

A solid, spooky read. Not as scary or as graphic as I had anticipated. Definitely more of a mystery than horror. I'll admit I had to flip back a few times to keep track of what time period I was reading about, because some of the characters act in the past and present.
