This book took me a while, I think, because the main character was so hard to like.

The first three quarters just reinforced my dislike for the main character. But the last quarter moved very nicely and racked up the tension.

4.5 stars. Excellent serial killer thriller from the POV of the duped wife on the run with their 2 children. I've read some of the Morganville vampire series, but this was waaaaay better IMO.

Initially, I rounded down to 4 stars, but since I keep talking about it and recommending it to people, I'm rounding up. There are some things that I didn't care for, which accounted for the initial 4 stars, but it was a very close call.
