Getting to read this book the first time was a treat: it kept me guessing!

Underneath that stubborn exterior is a man full of humanity. Ove leverages his principles to explain why he does things the way he does. However, Ove holds other values closer to his heart that he does not verbalize.

From the beginning of the book, there were instances where Ove's actions are not quite what he describes. He prefers consistency, so he sticks with a Saab, but he updates his cars ever so frequently. He was a ...more

This is one of my new favorite books! I did not want it to end! I laughed out loud so many times! I have also read "My Grandmother Says She's Sorry", which I also really enjoyed. This book, however, has something special and wonderful and perfect about it. Loved it. Highly recommend! ...more

AMAZING book. This is the second book from this author I have read and I LOVE him. I LOVED Ove in this book so much. His character is like one of the character from the movie Grumpy Old Men. He was so feisty and was always grumbling about something or someone but that added to his charm and made this book so funny. This book had me laughing out loud through so many of it's pages. I love Ove's back story growing up and his present story simply made you laugh and cry.
