Looking forward to getting going on this one. Fair warning to the whole team, I hope you all are chatty!! During the Wheel-a-Thon, my team not only read the most (yay) but we had at least double most every other team's posts!! I get chatty and if I have chatty people with me, well it's just gonna be a chat and read fest! :)
That being said, I'm around but probably more quiet the next few days. I'm still recovering from a 24 hour Read-a-Thon and I have a cold on top of that, so I'm not feeling my normal self. I'm here tho! Thanks, Ginger, for setting up your shelf, I need to do the same.
Look forward to everyone checking in. I'll go let Kim know to check in. She's one of my co-captains and is a real life friend.

While in the Elves thread I remembered this one from last tower teams. Since Banshees are from Darkness, thought I share :
-Wailing Banshee:Banshees do not read. Banshees wail.
-Me:Wail?
-Wailing Banshee: Yes, wail. We wail till children cry and dogs howl. Till cats scream and people tremble on their sleeping places. Banshees wail and wail and wail till they voices fail and cannot continue wailing.
-Me: OK, banshees wail. And what happens when you stop wailing?
-Wailing Banshee:
*confused look*
We wail some more.
-Me: So, suppose that if instead of wailing, banshees read, what would you do?
-Wailing Banshee: I would read till my eyes hurt and my hands couldn't not turn pages anymore. Then I will grab and eReader till it break. Finally I would listen to audio books till my ears fall off. And then I would read some more. I would read like a banshee.

I always have a hard time sleeping when I am excited about something (like I was for the Read-a-Thon) then I haven't slept well since before then because of the cold. I'm just worn out.

I am pretty sure this is my team as I don't believe there are any other Corey's around. Anyway, Hello, how's it going? I will try to be chatty but generally am unable to be on as often I like. I look forward to getting to know you all. Also do we know if a second group is being set up for this like they did in Tower Teams II?
Welcome Corey! Nice to have you.As far as I know, I believe they aren't doing the private groups, because a lot of people like going between groups. So, we'll see, but I don't think so.

Awesome Ginger, do you do a lot of Buddy Reads? I've never done any, as I don't tend to read the same things as a lot of other people, so if you do Buddy Reads it'll be nice bonus points for the team.
id be afraid to do buddy reads, I hated partnering in school with people, I always read too fast, or get really impatient cause im done with a book while people are still on chapter 2
Yeah, I liked this form better in Wheel-a-thon, but I didn't mind the other group either, helped me find what I wanted, hidden in NBRCs group it takes some time sometimes to get to the thread I want (on my phone). Really looking forward to starting. I like BRs every now and again, but I have the same issue of reading the same thing with the other people at the same time.

I live in Spain, read mostly romance of all kinds, some historical fiction and some mysteries. I'm not sure how many books I normally read - several a week maybe, I hope to contribute lots. I rarely join BRs unless it's a book I really want to read anyhow, in which case I'll join no problem. I’m also a very moody reader.
This is my first team challenge ever so I have a couple quick questions. We set up an empty shelf, then as we read we add books to that shelf, is that right? We also post the book cover here with the page number when we're done? Is there anything else Captains need from us?

Is there anything else Captains need from us? "Yes to the first question. Set up a shelf called TT3 or something similar and put books you have read, when you have read them, on that shelf. I prefer if you wait to put it on your shelf until after you've read it, though some people put a TBR on there. I can deal whichever way you want to do it, though I prefer only READ books on the created shelf.
No, you don't necessarily HAVE to list your book here in the thread once you have read it, but you can to keep track and let us know you are done. As long as it's on the shelf, that's all you HAVE to do.
All that is definitely needed is for you to read books and put them on your shelf. Your participation after that is up to you. Kim and I are VERY VERY chatty, so we love to talk books non stop, you can join in the Buddy Reads only if you want, talk here only if you want, completely up to you.

I don't do many BR's. This is my first. I always feel bad because I don't have tons of time to read and I guess I don't read fast. Only a book a week average, um depending on how many books I am reading at the time.I work full time and have three boys that demand most of my time ;) It just makes me appreciate my stolen moments of reading that much more.
I won't put any TBR's on my shelf because I change my mind too quickly on what book I am reading next. I have given up on pre assigned challenges, they just don't work for me ;)
I don't blame you, Ginger, on giving up on pre-assigned challenges, I could never do that. I'm a pick as I go type, I go with what I feel like reading. I tried to make a TBR for a recent read-a-thon and didn't even do half of the ones I picked out, but I did as many as I hoped. :)No one has to worry about doing Buddy Reads, only if you want to, so no worries Ginger. I most likely won't get involved in them, and just focus on reading.

No clue what I'll be doing, still a while off, but I am thinking about focusing on finishing up some series. I have a bunch of series where I have read most of the series and have a few, or more, left to read. I don't have any books that I'm really eager for coming out anytime soon, so I might as well try to get current on series.Right now I am reading The Shepherd by Ethan Cross on my Kindle Fire and Hidden by Benedict Jacka on audiobook.
hey everyone!:) I've had insanely busy days at work, so by the time I get home and pop online for a minute after doing all my cooking and throwing the kid int he bath and that stuff, im konked out. I've gone my whole life never falling asleep while reading a book until this past Saturday, now ive done it 3 days in a row. I just got done reading a book called the atomic blood splattered bus, it was something the author requested me to read, weird but awesome as heck for some reason, so im slacking on here with you guys instead of writing a review:P
