Although I'm a Stephen King fan, I'd never really considered reading this particular series. It just didn't sound like one that would interest me. I kept hearing the words fantasy and western which definitely were off putting for me. But, after hearing so many good things from friends that I respect, I decided to give it a shot. Read for the Good Reads Choice Award Book Club -- Series

A very un-Stephen King-like book. Well, at least the Tommyknockers Stephen King.

Not as enjoyable as Joyland, it was still a nice read. The edition I read was "revised and expanded throughout". I don't know if the original was better or worse. However, I really did enjoy King's introduction to this edition.
