This book was fantastic. I had to wait a few days to formulate my review because it was such an emotional roller coaster.
Race relations are never easy to discuss. There are some people who, no matter what you say, what facts you present to them, will never change their minds. And you can't understand someone's life if you haven't walked in their shoes.

This book was very heavy for me. I despise racism and all that it stands for.
I have Puerto Rican grandchildren. I have Jewish relatives. I have gay relatives. I have friends of all colors and ethnic groups. I despise what our President is doing to people of color. In 2016 my granddaughter came home from school crying because she thought Donald Trump was going to send her and her mom and brother and sister back to Puerto Rico. She was 6.
