It was okay. There were some really creepy people and events in this book. I found it hard to care about most of them.

This book was certainly not up to the standards of Flynn's most recent books. The story was shocking but not hard to imagine. I feel that she was just getting her feet wet with this one, as it was her first novel. "Dark Places" was better, and "Gone Girl" was best. ...more

Some times, when I really just don't like the main character of a book, I have a hard time finishing. Not true with Gillian Flynn's books. Probably because after reading Gone Girl as my first book of hers, I expect to really dislike everyone. It's different when it's done intentionally by the author to keep you guessing and questioning until the end. Although Camille was a little more likeable than other MC's of her books.
