Like Gone Girl, this is one of those books you love to hate, but can't stop reading. I didn't get the same charge or thrill here though. And yes, same goes for the main character who is really not very nice and easily one you'd like to slap upside the head and give her some advice. She's just mean and not very deep either.

The plot is void of the "feels" or emotions that I generally am drawn in by. There are definitely gritty and dark issues presented, but I never really felt the magnitude in dea ...more
