I loved this book. It was fascinating reading about the women's war during WWII. I loved the significance of the title and the multiple nuanced meanings as the story unfolded and the Nightingale was "caught." Probably my favorite book of 2017 so far.

"The Nightingale," is my first Kristin Hannah book that I read, even though I have another of her books on my long TBR physical bookshelf.
Kristin Hannah's writing is prolific and captivating. The hype of this book is very understandable, and it is the reason that took me to pick it up. I listened to the audiobook through the Audible app. Polly Stone, the narrator, does a fantastic job narrating the book.

I didn't really like it at first. The storyline was certainly interesting, as (in my opinion) most historical fiction novels about WWII are. But the characters bothered me. They came across as fairly one-dimensional and the relationships didn't seem all that developed.
