Neil Gaiman is within my top 10 modern authors and this book def solidified him there. American gods is most definitely a road trip through America and it was interesting seeing America in a different light to what is normally shown on television.
I loved how Neil Gaiman did his research on deities worldwide and included so many of them in this book, although they don't all have a role in it. I found myself googling so many of them. If you're a fan of mythology and what not, highly recommend this ...more
