I gave it a try. 115 pages I updated my status complaining about......OMG it's just so much cursing. I'm like why all the cursing. I can't read one page without fuck, shit, fuck, shit, fucktard, shit face, damn written. I know this is a adult book but OMG it's too much and I feel characters can express themselves in a better way then shouting fuck all the time. I'm give it a little long see if it gets better.

This book made me angry, and not in a good way. It’s mostly my own fault because the longer I stay with a book I don’t like, the angrier I get, and maybe I should have DNF’d earlier but I ended up finishing it instead because of the sunk-cost fallacy and wanting to mark it as finished.

To give credit where it’s due, I think the story idea is really good and I love how creative Brom got with fitting in the Peter Pan story with the Mists of Avalon, and a bunch of other Scottish folklore. I also lik ...more

very brutal & dark. not for the squeamish! Add it to the Peter Pan shelf... Brom mixes it with Arthurian legend and hey, actually comes out with a pretty darn good tale.

I really really liked the premise, as I am a pretty obsessed with Peter Pan folklore and agree with the author that Pan is a dark character. However, the execution of this dragged on with over-the-top violence and fake kid "street talk" that I started to feel like I was reading fanfiction. ...more
