I loved how self aware this book was. The author made a lot of statements about society that were just so accurate. Beautiful observations about the relationships people have in life and how they go about their day to day business.

"I’m the only one left holding a grudge. They say it’s good to let your grudges go, but I don’t know, I’m quite fond of my grudge. I tend it like a little pet.”

My sister recommended this book to me, and I really ended up enjoying it. It was part mystery, part chick-lit, and a voyeuristic dive into the characters' private lives. We follow various families all tied together through their children's elementary school, and it examines the lies we tell others and ourselves, both big and small. The subject matter hit really close to home with a couple of characters' story lines. It makes you think about your life, your friends' lives, and how things aren't a ...more

Fun read with a dramatic ending

Fun read with a dramatic twist. I loved how real the life and comments of parents with school aged children is so universal. Those parts cracked me up and kept the pages turning.

Then the dramatic side makes you stop and think. It could be anyone.

Well done. Nice read. Very good for book club. Lots of things to talk about that's for sure. ...more
