3.5 stats....a bit predictable, but a page turner.
What an amazingly fun novel! I loved all of the twists and turns, especially with all of the unreliable narrators. It just kept me guessing until the end. Also, there really isn't a single character with redeeming qualities, which is interesting. No "shining hero" that I was rooting for. I thought that each of the characters were very well written and had their own distinct voice, attitude, and behavior. I could actually imagining running into them in real life. The book is quite good, I thought a lot about the rating if it should be 3 or 4 stars. The idea is amazing, the plot also and I love the way the story unfolds! The only irritating thing is Rachel's drinking issue, it simply made her seem so vulnerable and stupid at times. Nevertheless, by the end of the book it makes sense why she had to be portrayed this way and maybe I would have liked a more detailed account of her feelings after the weird yet super bonding experience with Anna in the end. Lives up to the hype.
I came on to see what other people's thoughts on this book were. I found it harder and harder to relate to the characters as the story progressed because it felt like a life so far from my own. While I had a hard time putting the book down, it was like reading juicy gossip. The Girl On The Train was an entertaining read, but at the same time felt like a waste of my time.
